For much of my life, I felt the weight of expectations, striving to embody an image that others believed I should be. I thought that by conforming to these ideals, I could create a safe space for myself and convey the love I so desperately wanted to share. However, this path led me to face betrayal and heartbreak from those I held dear, leaving me feeling figuratively stabbed in the back and, at times, literally left for dead.
