My Message for This Easter
Share
Hey there, friends! I want to share something special about Easter and what it means to me. You know, when I was younger, Easter felt like a big puzzle I just couldn't figure out. I remember waking up super early, rushing to get dressed in my best outfit, and heading to church. I would sit there, sometimes listening and sometimes daydreaming, and then we would have this amazing dinner with our family. It was fun, but I always wondered, "What is the real meaning of Easter?"
As I grew older, I started reading the Bible and trying to understand Easter better. But guess what? It became even more confusing! I kept asking myself, "What does a bunny and eggs have to do with Jesus?" It seemed strange to me. I learned that the bunny and eggs were symbols that come from much older traditions, like spring festivals celebrating new life. But I still wondered why we used them during a time that’s supposed to be about Jesus' resurrection.
Even though I had questions, I realized that no matter how we choose to celebrate, the heart of Easter is about life and rebirth. It's a time for gratitude, love, and hope. So, my message for you this Easter is to think about all the things you are thankful for in your life. Make sure to share that joy with others!
Sometimes, to really understand ourselves and what we believe, we have to let go of old ideas and rebuild our lives. Imagine trying to put together a Lego set, but some pieces just don’t fit anymore. It can feel frustrating and lonely when we have to tear down what we thought we knew. It’s not always easy to start over. In fact, it can be really messy and confusing!
But guess what? That’s okay! Starting over doesn’t mean you’ve failed. It means you’re making space for something new and real. You might feel like a stranger in your own life for a while, but that doesn’t mean you’re lost. It’s actually the beginning of something beautiful! Take your time with the pieces of who you are, learn from them, and decide what parts you want to keep. Rebuilding takes time, and that’s perfectly normal.
And here’s something important: sometimes, you might not get the recognition you deserve for all the hard work you do. You could be putting your heart into something and feel like no one sees it. It can be really disheartening. But remember this: just because no one is cheering for you doesn’t mean you’re not making a difference. You keep going because it matters to YOU, not for applause or attention.
Every time you show up, even when it feels like no one notices, you’re building a stronger version of yourself. Your journey and growth are important, even if it feels like you’re alone. You matter, your efforts matter, and your heart matters. So keep moving forward, not for the applause, but for the person you are becoming.
And lastly, let’s not get too caught up in symbols. Instead, focus on being a good person. Remember what it says in Luke 6:45: “A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart.” What you do and say comes from what’s inside you. So let’s fill our hearts with kindness and love.
This Easter, let’s celebrate life, gratitude, and the beautiful journey of becoming who we are meant to be. I hope you find joy in every moment and share that joy with others. Happy Easter!
